I'm Alice, the founder of Alice Blends. Blending and brewing herbal infusions is my passion, and I believe every cup of tea should offer a moment of joy and a little gourmet adventure.
This vision began when I started drinking more herbal tea after having children. I wanted something refreshing and uplifting that was both caffeine-free and good for me—but the choices on the shelves felt repetitive and uninspiring. Many blends lacked flavour, relied heavily on liquorice, or came as fine powders. That's when I began researching, experimenting, and drawing inspiration from my French and Caribbean heritage to create blends that truly felt alive.
I'm always excited to talk about my herbal teas! All of our infusions are crafted in the heart of Deptford, by the Thames in London, where they are meticulously hand-prepared in small batches.
We take pride in selecting high-quality ingredients to ensure the best flavour in every blend. Cacao, which is one of my favourite ingredients to work with, is the essence of our Creole Belle-Hélène tea: I use both the husk and the nib of the cacao bean. Cacao trees thrive in hot, humid climates so I source our husk from Central and South American organic specialty cacao, and organic raw cacao nibs specifically from Peru.
I also love incorporating fruit for natural sweetness and vibrant colour—cranberry, pear, mango, and more. I choose freeze-dried fruit for its bright flavours, preserved nutrients, and beautiful appearance. Free from preservatives, additives, and added sugars, it's a healthy and delicious choice.
